Spirit stirring.

One of my favorite parts of doll-making is uncovering the face - wool gently shaped, features and personality slowly revealed. It’s a process that can’t be rushed - more than any other aspect of the doll, the face comes only when the spirit is ready. I never begin with an intention for how a doll will look - and I look forward to seeing their expressions evolve as I work with the wool.

This beautiful spirit is slowly emerging and making herself known to me - she’s slowly waking up.
