Mugwort Snake Talisman
I recently began dreaming up new talisman ideas, and this sweet snake was the first to come forward. She carries mugwort - medicine for protection, dreaming, and connecting with Spirit & our guides. She’s adorned with bells, and jingles softly when shaken. I love the extra layer of magic this brings - I often use sound when I carve out sacred space and as a way to fortify protection magic.
Snake imagery comes through often in my work, bringing the energy of protection and encouraging us to shed that which no longer serves. Snakes remind us that growth is uncomfortable, but necessary. They remind us to trust our intuition - when it’s time to shed, we’ll know. Shedding what no longer serves can feel quite scary, and snake energy can help us to bravely step through our growth portals. They can also help us hold our sacred rage, as they do in the story of Medusa.
My hope is that the talismans I create will provide support as we move through this time of deep collective fear, uncertainty, and unrest.
