New dolls & Equinox Blessings
Hello friends,
How are you faring as we move through this shift in seasons? The autumnal rains are upon us here in Southeast Alaska and I’ve found myself turning inward, craving more quiet time for reflection as the leaves begin to change. I love walking through the forest hunting for mushrooms and listening to the squirrels as they prepare for winter.
The voices of our ancestors are strong this time of year and soon I’ll be making my seasonal ancestor altar. What practices are nourishing you in this liminal time? I hope that wherever this Equinox finds you, you’re giving yourself grace and tending yourself with care.
As we move through the darker half of the year, I’ll be diving in to the energy of the season and crafting dolls for ancestor work and underworld journeys. I’ll share more about them in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. In the meantime, I’m excited to share this new batch of tiny Equinox spirits!

A doll in your pocket…
For the past few months, I’ve felt called to create smaller dolls that can be easily carried in a pocket or bag and provide much needed support as we move through this time of deep unrest.
These pocket-sized dolls are inspired by the story of Vasilisa, whose journey to Baba Yaga’s hut is aided by the doll she carries in her pocket. The doll serves as a guide - a connection to Vasilisa’s intuition. She feeds the doll and, in return, the doll helps her to navigate the tasks Baba Yaga gives her. (If you’re interested in reading more about Vasilisa and her doll, I highly recommend Women Who Run With the Wolves, by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés.)
Like Vasilisa’s doll, these tiny spirits carry big medicine to support your connection to your own intuition and to remind you of the strength and wisdom you hold within. Each doll holds a different plant or animal medicine chosen for its ability to support and nourish during times of instability and change.
You can meet the Equinox pocket-dolls here.
Sending Equinox blessings, friends. Thank you for being here.
